Many of us at some point will have lines and wrinkles on our face. The medical term for these wrinkles is ‘rhytides’ and Dermatologists have developed a useful scale for classifying them. Fine, moderate and deep (which may also include folds of skin).
Fine lines typically appear around the eyes and mouth, moderate lines and wrinkles can appear in the cheeks, while deeper wrinkles often form on the glabellar (area at the top of your nose between the eyebrows), the forehead and nasio-labial folds which run from the nostrils down to the edges of the mouth.
Contrary to what people frequently understand, many lines and wrinkles can be improved without the need for injections. Of course anti-wrinkle injections such as Botox, or Dermal Fillers containing hyaluronic acid, are very effective at improving the appearance of lines and wrinkles, many other treatments are also available. For instance Dr Haus and his team are experienced at using laser therapy to improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles, as well as radiofrequency and medical grade facials, all with very good results.
Dr Haus and his colleagues will develop a treatment plan based on your skin condition as well any preference to include or avoid, a particular form of treatment, to reduce the appearance of your lines and wrinkles.
