“We are delighted to be the first clinic on London’s Harley Street to offer Emsculpt to our patients. Emsculpt is the only procedure to help both women and men simultaneously build muscle and burn fat. Using non-invasive high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology, results from 7 independent studies across the United States showed average fat reduction of 19% and average increase in muscle mass of 16%.”
Dr Ariel Haus explains why Emsculpt is such an exciting addition to the suite of non-invasive body treatments already available at Dr Haus Dermatology.
How Does Emsculpt Technology Build Muscle and Burn Fat?
Emsculpt uses non-invasive HIFEM® (High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic) technology to induce supramaximal muscle contractions. These contractions are so strong that it would not be possible for you to do yourself, no matter how hard you worked out. Its estimated that after a 30 minute treatment, your muscles have contracted 20,000 times! When exposed to these supramaximal contractions, the muscle tissue responds with a deep remodeling of its inner structure that results in muscle building and fat burning.
How Do We Know It Works?
So far there have been seven published studies following independent Emsculpt trials in the United States. These studies evaluated apoptosis (showing fat cell death in response to the Emsculpt treatment) and used Ultrasound, MRI and CT imaging to demonstrate a decrease in fat and increase in muscle in the treated areas, and waist circumference reduction was also recorded to show a decrease in waist measurement.
What Areas Can Be Treated?
Emsculpt is indicated both for improvement of abdominal tone and strengthening of the abdominal muscles and also for strengthening, toning and firming of the buttocks.
Emsculpt is an ideal treatment when one has small amounts of pinchable fat, or wants to improve the tone and shape of the stomach.
Who Is Suitable For Emsculpt Treatment?
Emsculpt is suitable for most people who have pockets of stubborn fat and who want more definition of their abdominal muscles. Emsculpt may also be combined with our other non-surgical fat reduction treatments. Emsculpt is not suitable for anyone with medical implants such as pacemakers, cardiac defibrillators or women who are breastfeeding or are or may be pregnant. Further information on suitability will be provided during an initial assessment with one of our Emsculpt trained Clinical Practitioners.
